Since our beginning in 1969, Harmony Foundation has thrived to become one of the most respected residential chemical dependency treatment centers in the country. Primary Function:       Verifies insurance coverage and communicates results to potential client/family member.  Follows insurance claims through to completion.  

Supervision:                Supervised by the Director of Admissions

Essential Functions:

  1. Responsible for verifying insurance coverage, filing insurance claims and negotiating single case agreements.
  2. Responsible for calling potential client/family member and clearly explaining the benefits and the Continued Stay Review process.
  3. Explains deposit amount required at admission to client/family member.
  4. Documents all contact with client/family member.
  5. Enters insurance information into TIER.
  6. Follows up on all insurance claims filed and documents conversations.
  7. Other duties as required.

 

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Must have two years of general computer experience.
  2. Must have basic typing skills, adequate to prepare materials adequately.
  3. Must have knowledge of office procedures.
  4. Must have basic bookkeeping skills.
  5. Must have medical insurance claim filing experience.
  6. Physical and emotional health adequate to perform all job functions.
  7. Must have outstanding ethics and ability to maintain confidentiality
  8. If recovering from chemical dependency, prefer a minimum of two years continuous sobriety upon hire. 
  9. Fluency in spoken and written English.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  1. Ability to follow instructions, willingness to broaden knowledge, and skills.        
  2. Ability to work independently.
  3. Ability to relate to fellow employees and clients with understanding in a realistically supportive manner.
  4. Excellent telephone skills.

Primary Function:       Assist in the maintenance of the entire property; and to provide a safe environment for students; assist with property maintenance, improvement and repair.

Supervision:                Supervised by the Maintenance Supervisor or Director of Facilities

Essential Functions:

  1. Property maintenance/repair interior and exterior of the property; in particular:
    general landscaping: mowing, tree trimming.
  2. General maintenance: snow shoveling, plowing, painting.
  3. Other duties as assigned including night custodial and security responsibilities. 
  4. Must have outstanding ethics and ability to maintain confidentiality.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Six months experience in painting and landscaping.
  2. Physical and emotional health adequate to perform duties.
  3. Able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs.
  4. Hold a valid First Aid & CPR certification card (training provided).
  5. Valid Colorado driver’s license and eligible for coverage by Harmony Foundation insurance carrier.
  6. If recovering from chemical dependency, prefer a minimum of two years continuous sobriety upon hire.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  1. Ability to operate equipment: automobiles, all lawn equipment, all snow removal equipment, and all power tools.
  2. Under supervision, willing and able to acquire knowledge and abilities to perform general maintenance tasks.
  3. Ability to relate to fellow employees and clients with understanding in a realistically supportive manner.
  4. Personal maturity reflected by sound judgment and decision making ability.

FRONT OFFICE TEAM MEMBER  PART TIME
Hours are 5:30 – 9:30 p.m. on Wed, Thurs, Fri and 2:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Sat.

 

ADMINISTRATIVE TEAM MEMBER

Primary Function:     Perform Receptionist Duties/General Office Procedures/Clerical Assistance

Supervision:              Administrative Manager

Essential Functions:

  1. Answer incoming calls (multiple lines) and perform reception functions.
  2. Provide client support (processing tobacco orders, directing clients to appropriate personnel; distribute notes/homework to appropriate personnel, collect admission and discharge monies.)
  3. Distribute all incoming mail; metering of outgoing mail and packages.
  4. Responsible for counting and maintaining money in cash drawer.
  5. Handle phone reservations for various functions held at Harmony.
  6. Stock and Sell items. 
  7. Complete all clerical tasks, data entry and other administrative functions as requested or assigned. (Some of these duties may include: Tally client and family satisfaction surveys weekly and complete monthly report, conduct follow-up calls, cross-training on other jobs, Boardroom Schedule upkeep.)
  8. Maintain adequate supply of client charts, client and family packets, all form and other handout materials in Front Office area.
  9. Save Tier census.
  10. Assist with mass mailings.
  11. Processing and distribution of faxes, voice mail and e-mail.
  12. Misc. duties to include, but not limited to, shredding confidential papers, keeping front  office area clean and orderly, maintaining office machines, making certain confidentiality sheet is signed, greeting visitors.)
  13. Monitor fire alarm board and provide support to incident commander during fire drill and/or actual alarm.
  14. AM Shift to perform necessary opening tasks.
  15. PM Shift to perform necessary closing tasks.     
  16. Adhere to confidentiality and ethics policies of Harmony Foundation.
  17. Other duties as assigned.


Minimum Requirements:

  1. One year experience in general office procedures
  2. Proficiency in Word and Excel programs along with adequate typing skills to prepare materials timely, accurately, and without duplicating errors.
  3. Fluency in written and spoken English.
  4. Strong organizational skills.
  5. Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  6. Physical and emotional health adequate to perform duties.
  7. If recovering from chemical dependency, prefer one year of continued sobriety.
  8. CPR certification


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  1. Possess adequate personal maturity reflected by sound judgment and decision making abilities, to relate to fellow employees in an understanding and supportive manner and relate to clients with detachment and empathy.
  2. Willing and able to broaden knowledge and skills.
  3. Proven ability to work with multi line telephone systems.
  4. Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Primary Function: Monitor physical and emotional aspects of chemically dependent clients

Supervision: Supervised by Director of Nursing, Nursing Coordinator

Essential Functions:

  1. Monitor and document client’s vital signs, TPR BP (sit and stand while in detox) pain, pulse ox, physical and emotional state and report abnormalities in a timely manner
  2. Provide appropriate care in case of emergencies
  3. Chart observations and conditions for detox period
  4. Ability to accurately complete documentation and chart checkS
  5. Perform admission nursing assessment and review admit form
  6. Create medical treatment plans based on assessment of medical needs            
  7. Complete weekly reviews. Assure compliance with treatment plan
  8. Prepare for and/or perform venipuncture (must be phlebotomy certified)
  9. Maintain inventory of stock medication, prescription refills and medical supplies
  10. Administer and account for medication following Harmony Procedures
  11. Obtain, carry out, and authenticate physician orders
  12. Attend 75% of nursing department meetings
  13. Willingness to work different shifts as needed
  14. Ability to work as a team member
  15. Must have outstanding ethics and ability to maintain confidentiality
  16. Organize and prioritize shift duties in facility
  17. Attend and participate staff meetings with counselors and nursing staff
  18. Review daily census and assure accuracy
  19. Procedure for preparing clients for discharge

       

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Current Colorado LPN nursing license. Must be in compliance with all licensing regulations and laws
  2. Current 1st Aid certification
  3. Current CPR certification
  4. Phlebotomy certification
  5. One year medical/surgical experience
  6. Physical and emotional health adequate to perform duties
  7. Valid Colorado driver’s license and eligible for coverage by Harmony Foundation insurance carrier
  8. If recovering from chemical dependency, prefer a minimum of two years continuous sobriety upon hire
  9. Fluency in spoken and written EnglisH

      

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  1. Ability to function within the scope of practice of individual licensure
  2. Ability to relate with detachment, understanding, and empathy to chemically dependent clients
  3. Willingness to gain knowledge and understanding of the disease concept and individual counseling procedures in the treatment of chemical dependency
  4. Willingness to obtain basic knowledge of the emotional and physical aspects associated with chemical dependency
  5. Personal maturity reflected by sound judgment and decision making abilities
  6. Ability to function as a team member of the nursing department
  7. Willingness to perform venipuncture
  8. Ability to communicate effectively with all Harmony staff to ensure the highest possible level of performance.  Good written and verbal communication skills
  9. Is dependable, has a minimal amount of unscheduled paid time off and shows up on time every workday
  10. Always gives Harmony best work and handles constructive criticism appropriately

 

Physical Capabilities:

  1. Physical health adequate to manipulate stairway, access all areas of Harmony’s grounds, assist with ambulation and perform CPR
