We have an opening for a Maintenance Level 1 position . Primary Function: Assist in the maintenance of the entire property; and to provide a safe environment for students; assist with property maintenance, improvement and repair.
Supervision: Supervised by the Maintenance Supervisor or Director of Facilities
Essential Functions:
- Property maintenance/repair interior and exterior of the property; in particular:
general landscaping: mowing, tree trimming. - General maintenance: snow shoveling, plowing, painting.
- Other duties as assigned including night custodial and security responsibilities.
- Must have outstanding ethics and ability to maintain confidentiality.
Minimum Requirements:
- Six months experience in painting and landscaping.
- Physical and emotional health adequate to perform duties.
- Able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Hold a valid First Aid & CPR certification card (training provided).
- Valid driver’s license and eligible for coverage by Harmony Foundation insurance carrier.
- If recovering from chemical dependency, prefer a minimum of two years continuous sobriety upon hire.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to operate equipment: automobiles, all lawn equipment, all snow removal equipment, and all power tools.
- Under supervision, willing and able to acquire knowledge and abilities to perform general maintenance tasks.
- Ability to relate to fellow employees and clients with understanding in a realistically supportive manner.
- Personal maturity reflected by sound judgment and decision making ability.
Primary Function: Assist the licensed nurse with all areas of physical and emotional aspects of chemically dependent clients
Supervision: Supervised by the Director of Nursing
Essential Functions:
- Assess and chart client’s vital signs, physical and emotional state by following instructions and reporting abnormalities to nurse in a timely manner
- Provide appropriate care in case of emergencies
- Report observations and conditions for detox period
- Attend 75% of nursing department meetings
- Willingness to work different shifts as needed
- Ability to accurately complete documentation
- Ability to work as a team member
- Assist nursing staff in admission (vitals, UA specimens, etc.) and discharge process
- Maintain inventory of stock medication, prescription refills and medical supplies
- Prepare for blood draws
- Help with client cabin clearance and room assignments
- Transport clients to and from medical appointments
- Must have outstanding ethics and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Other duties as required/assigned within the scope of practice
- Perform venipuncture
- Transcribe physician’s orders and obtain co-signature
Minimum Requirements:
Level I:
- 6 months experience at Harmony or phlebotomist experience or CNA certification or unit secretary experience or EMT or EMT-P experience
- Current CPR certification
- Current 1st Aid certification
- Physical and emotional health adequate to perform duties
- Valid Colorado driver’s license and eligible for coverage by Harmony Foundation insurance carrier
- If recovering from chemical dependency, prefer a minimum of two years continuous sobriety upon hire
- Fluency in spoken and written English
Level II: All of the above requirements plus:
- Must be in compliance with all licensing regulations and law
- Certified Nursing Assistant certification or RMA certification
or - 6 months experience in the medical field and knowledge of medical terminology
or - Phlebotomy certified
or - 6 months experience transcribing physician’s orders and obtaining co-signature
Level III: All of the requirements for level one plus:
- Must be in compliance with all licensing regulations and law
- Certified Nursing Assistant certification or RMA certification
- 1 year experience in the medical field
- Phlebotomy certified and1 year experience transcribing physician’s orders and obtaining co-signature
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to relate with detachment, understanding, and empathy to chemically dependent clients
- Willingness to gain knowledge and understanding of the disease concept and individual counseling procedures in the treatment of chemical dependency
- Willingness to obtain basic knowledge of the emotional and physical aspects associated with chemical dependency
- Personal maturity reflected by sound judgment and decision making abilities
- Ability to function as a team member r of the nursing department
- Ability to communicate effectively with all Harmony staff. Good written and verbal communication skills
- Is dependable, has a minimal amount of unscheduled paid time off and shows up on time every workday

- Able to perform all essential functions from 1 year of hire date
Physical Capabilities:
- Physical health adequate to manipulate stairway, access all areas of Harmony’s grounds, assist with ambulation and perform CPR
- Physical ability to lift a maximum of 50lbs
Primary Function: Monitor physical and emotional aspects of chemically dependent clients
Supervision: Supervised by Director of Nursing, Nursing Coordinator
Essential Functions:
- Monitor and document client’s vital signs, TPR BP (sit and stand while in detox) pain, pulse ox, physical and emotional state and report abnormalities in a timely manner
- Provide appropriate care in case of emergencies
- Chart observations and conditions for detox period
- Ability to accurately complete documentation and chart checkS
- Perform admission nursing assessment and review admit form
- Create medical treatment plans based on assessment of medical needs
- Complete weekly reviews. Assure compliance with treatment plan
- Prepare for and/or perform venipuncture (must be phlebotomy certified)
- Maintain inventory of stock medication, prescription refills and medical supplies
- Administer and account for medication following Harmony Procedures
- Obtain, carry out, and authenticate physician orders
- Attend 75% of nursing department meetings
- Willingness to work different shifts as needed
- Ability to work as a team member
- Must have outstanding ethics and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Organize and prioritize shift duties in facility
- Attend and participate staff meetings with counselors and nursing staff
- Review daily census and assure accuracy
- Procedure for preparing clients for discharge
Minimum Requirements:
- Current Colorado LPN nursing license. Must be in compliance with all licensing regulations and laws
- Current 1st Aid certification
- Current CPR certification
- Phlebotomy certification
- One year medical/surgical experience
- Physical and emotional health adequate to perform duties
- Valid Colorado driver’s license and eligible for coverage by Harmony Foundation insurance carrier
- If recovering from chemical dependency, prefer a minimum of two years continuous sobriety upon hire
- Fluency in spoken and written EnglisH

- Coordinate treatment efforts with the Medical Director, and Psychologist to facilitate and ensure optimal care of clients. Assist Medical Director, Director of Nursing and Nursing staff coordinate medical aspects of client care. Complete client history and physicals and see clients during “sick call” appointments as needed.
- Liaison with cooperating community medical services
- Other duties as required and assigned
- Must have outstanding ethics and ability to maintain confidentiality
Minimum Requirements:
- Current Colorado PA license. Must be in compliance with all licensing regulations and laws.
- Current CPR certification.
- Current First Aid certification.
- Five years’ experience as a PA
- Experience in treatment of chemical dependency, desirable.
- Willingness and ability to work 12 hour shifts and weekends and be on call
- Physical health to perform all duties
- Valid Colorado driver’s license and eligible for coverage by Harmony foundation insurance carrier
- If recovering from chemical dependency, three years continued sobriety
- Fluency in spoken and written English
